0065 FINLAND (Pirkanmaa) - Nokia 9841

"Nokia Corporation is a Finnish multinational communications corporation that is headquartered in Keilaniemi, Espoo, a city neighbouring Finland's capital Helsinki." I see. For the last 8 years I using only Nokia mobiles. "On September 2011, Nokia has announced it will lose another 3,500 jobs worldwide, including the closure of its Cluj factory in Romania." Why? "Nokia's factory in Cluj was seized by the Romanian government in November 2011 to prevent a sale of the assets, after Nokia had accumulated a tax liability of US$ 10 million." No comment.

Above all Nokia is the Finnish town where was born, in 1967, Nokia Corporation, through the merger of three companies: Nokia Company (founded in 1865 as a pulp mill), Finnish Rubber Works (founded in 1898 and then specialized in the manufacture of galoshes and other rubber products) and Finnish Cable Works Ltd. Now, the Nokia brand, valued at $25 billion, is listed as the 14th most valuable global brand in the Interbrand / BusinessWeek Best Global Brands list of 2011.

The town, located on the banks of the Nokianvirta River, some 15 km west of Tampere, has a population de aproximativ 32,000 and is the center of Nokia Revival, a christian movement developed in the last decade of last century. But the postcard doesn't have any connection with telecommunications giant, nor the Christian movement, because it's a wall of a postal railway wagon, "probably for 1950’s", according to Tarita. Unusual and interesting. How many postcards have led on his life this wagon? As a detail, the Nokia railway station, completed in 1895, is located on the track between Tampere and Pori. Trains stop there twelve times a day.
