"100 years since the Great Union of Romania" (3/12)
- The electric-diesel locomotive 92 53 0 641179-2

The third meeting of the Romanian postcrossers in the year of the Centenary of the Great Union took place on February 24, 2018, and was actually the second train Postcrossing meetup between Bucharest and Ploieşti (the first took place on February 29, 2016). On the postcard is the 6-axis electric-diesel locomotive 92 53 0 641179-2 (GM 1179), considered the most beautiful locomotive of the Sibiu depot, and nicknamed the Blue Fury.

Initially belonging to Class 63 (the modernized version of Class 62, realized by Electroputere Craiova and ElectroMotive-General Motors Corporation, in the years 1999-2000 - power 2100 hp, length 17 m, maximum speed 120 km/h, traction force 275 hp), was modernized and assigned to the Class 64, without having any connection with the former Class 64, represented by LDE 1500 type locomotives built by the Faur plants in Bucharest.

At the initiative of Mihnea Răducu, between December 1 2017 and December 1 2018, so in the year in which the Romanians celebrated the centenary of the Great Union, took place every month a meeting of the Romanian postcrossers, and at each meeting has been edited a postcard to recall this exceptional event for the Romanians.
