2541 CAPE VERDE - Buracona and the “blue eye”
Buracona is a small bay located in the northwest of the island of Sal, at approximately 5km north of the village Palmeira. Buracona and the "blue eye" is basically a natural pool formed by the ocean into the lava rocks. When the light hits this natural pool from the right angle, the color turns into a magic turquoise blue. The water in the cave show tides, as it is connected directly with the sea.
About the stamp
The stamp was issued in 2015 to mark the anniversary of 70 years since the foundation of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
