1735 ROMANIA (Suceava) - Flowered Old Trabby in Gura Humorului
In 2009, in Gura Humorului (a little town located in southern Bukovina, at the confluence of Moldova River and Humor River), Mayoralty asked to a local who for years kept a Trabant out of service parked on the sidewalk, to take it from there. The local answered, half-joking (I think rather that mockingly) that is willing to donate the car to the Mayoralty, because he had nowhere to carry it. Said and done. The Mayoralty took the Trabant and gave it to a local firm that handles floral arrangements, which decorated it with 4,800 flowers. The Flowered Old Trabby became in short time one of the city's attractions, and the mayor said that the flowers will be changed annually and even that he will do the same with other cars abandoned. If he kept its word or not, I don't know.
